NIKON charger - NIKON battery charger - NIKON battery

Can anyone help me? I have a Nikon battery charger. The charger itself is fine as it takes 110-240v without a converter. On the Nikon site it says the power cord is only for 110v and if you use it with 220v it will fry the cord. Has anybody used the power cord as is without getting a 220 power cord for Israeli use and with what results? Secondly where can I purchase one if needed.

Please note to use your Nikon battery charger or A/C adapter in other countries you may require a different power cable or plug adapter. Be sure that the new cord purchased fits the Nikon adapter you wish to use it with and that it's voltage is rated for the power in the country you wish to use it in. Power cord suitable for the local power system can be obtained on arrival, or at most airport shops and computer suppliers as these items are typically used for Laptop computer power supply connections.
